So good！I loved this book！ I purposely slowed down my reading so I could make it last longer because it was such a fantastic book。 I wish there was more so I can see more into their future lives together。 I loved how they were very much so a throuple， not putting anyone above the other and making sure to spend time together in pairs。 It was very sweet to see。

I wasn’t sure how I would feel about this book after the flop that was Pretty Little Monster， personally I didn’t like the characters and had a hard time connecting to them or even feeling slightly attached to them （I’m also not into dubious consent and I don’t care that it’s a dark romance， r*pe is r*pe regardless of how many times the mc thinks of her “betraying body”） but this was actually enjoyable， and I also liked the characters。 Aside from this town loving Halloween it sounded boring af l I wasn’t sure how I would feel about this book after the flop that was Pretty Little Monster， personally I didn’t like the characters and had a hard time connecting to them or even feeling slightly attached to them （I’m also not into dubious consent and I don’t care that it’s a dark romance， r*pe is r*pe regardless of how many times the mc thinks of her “betraying body”） but this was actually enjoyable， and I also liked the characters。 Aside from this town loving Halloween it sounded boring af lmao Bailey was an interesting character and even though she felt a bit stale at times it made sense with her environment and past trauma。 I also enjoyed the mental health rep and her having OCD and how Phoenix was quick to accommodate her rituals as well as asking permission to touch her。 Overall this was a fine read and very perfect for Halloween season 🎃 。。。more

Such a great Halloween story and love how there was already an established relationship， and they brought Bailey in。 The guys never mad her feel bad or a burden for her feelings towards her beatfriends death。 And like a true Halloween story， we have the unaliving！！！！

Another hit of a read for Merlin！ This was a treat to read， and I mean it！ Every minute of this book was enjoyable， from the initial meeting of Bailey to her first encounter with the mask killer。 There are mental issues talked about in the story， and I loved how Merlin approached and dealt with them。 The whole storyline was enticing， thrilling， romantic， spicy， and brings that Halloween spirit。 This is a must read and one that I will definitely re-read！

Fun Halloween themed revenge murder-y mmf read。 I always enjoy AJ Merlin’s dynamics。 I love the way the MCs always flirt and banter by talking to each other about the other character。 I like that dynamic during the sex scenes too。 I have a hard time with overly sappy and romantic books where you have murderous psycho characters and she just always get these types of characters right for me。 The mystery isn’t the best。 Its obvious who the killers are right away。 I did like all the scenes with the Fun Halloween themed revenge murder-y mmf read。 I always enjoy AJ Merlin’s dynamics。 I love the way the MCs always flirt and banter by talking to each other about the other character。 I like that dynamic during the sex scenes too。 I have a hard time with overly sappy and romantic books where you have murderous psycho characters and she just always get these types of characters right for me。 The mystery isn’t the best。 Its obvious who the killers are right away。 I did like all the scenes with the cop and how they added intrigue to the story but for the most part I do think this aspect of the story would have worked better for me with a little more questioning of who the killer/s are。 I was expecting the h to have more trauma throughout the story based on what we see when the book first starts but overall I really liked her。 I liked the guys also。 The Halloween scenes def made this read for me。 The haunted house scenes were super fun！ Overall: 3。5， I would have liked to have seen an epilogue and had some resolution to the Nic and Nolan stuff。 。。。more

I really enjoyed the story of this book。 The dynamic between the throuple was especially good。 The neuro spiciness was on point and quite relatable for those with similar issues。 If you like dark romances/serial killer romances， this is definitely for you。 Add along an entire town that goes overboard for spooky season and this was an amazing story！

Don't Be Scared is an MMF dark serial killer romance， where the two males are already an established couple but one of them is obsessed with Bailey and the other one 。。。 is a psychotic killer thats not normal and becomes just as obsessed the first time he lays eyes on her。 The story takes place in Hollow Bridge where they celebrate everything spooky， scary and all to do with Halloween。 Bailey is the main fmc and I just adore her so much and the one thing I love most about AJ Merlin's book is tha Don't Be Scared is an MMF dark serial killer romance， where the two males are already an established couple but one of them is obsessed with Bailey and the other one 。。。 is a psychotic killer thats not normal and becomes just as obsessed the first time he lays eyes on her。 The story takes place in Hollow Bridge where they celebrate everything spooky， scary and all to do with Halloween。 Bailey is the main fmc and I just adore her so much and the one thing I love most about AJ Merlin's book is that the FMC is never the stereotypical cool girl， or the confident one， or the one that is an incredible fighter。 Her FMC's are quiet， shy， but most importantly insecure for their own reasons， their quirky and usually the types of girls that are just normal， weird and hiding in the background but always there。 They not self-assured and to me that just makes them that much more relatable。 Phoenix Hawthorne is the older brother of her best friend， who died tragically in front of her due to kids stunts and peer pressure gone wrong。 No one except Bailey and her family and Phoenix and his family really cared that Daisy died or how。 Her death was ruled as an accident and the people responsible got away with it because they were more popular and wealthy。 But what happens when a dark serial killer emerges and the people who got away with Daisy's death suddenly start turning up dead。 Rory is Phoenix's boyfriend， charming， sociable， easy-going he's not the typical serial killer persona， he can easily blend in with the crowd， remaining unsuspecting and he rounds out the throuple。 I really liked how well he complimented Bailey and Phoenix being the link between them。 A fantastically dark read that oozes revenge letting you indulge in any dark thoughts you may have hiding deep within your soul。 The plot was slow to start and the relationship but when it gets going it's like a fire that burns so hot and completely out of control， they just can't fight the attraction anymore。 At the end of this book the author has made it impossible for the reader not to have established a connection with the murderer that suddenly makes them seem not so evil but 。。。 questionably justified？ In a confusingly strange and completely mind blowing way。 。。。more

To read this review along with teasers and highlights from the novel visit Glowstars。netIt feels like we’ve been waiting ages for AJ Merlin to release another book but in reality， it’s only been two months since Pretty Little Killer。 We know this girl’s gotta get her serial killer smut fix and Don’t Be Scared did not disappoint。 Not only did it tick all my boxes， but it’s gotten me well and truly in the mood for Halloween。Bailey is a classic AJ Merlin heroine; quirky with some health-related To read this review along with teasers and highlights from the novel visit Glowstars。netIt feels like we’ve been waiting ages for AJ Merlin to release another book but in reality， it’s only been two months since Pretty Little Killer。 We know this girl’s gotta get her serial killer smut fix and Don’t Be Scared did not disappoint。 Not only did it tick all my boxes， but it’s gotten me well and truly in the mood for Halloween。Bailey is a classic AJ Merlin heroine; quirky with some health-related idiosyncrasies and a limited social circle。 She’s less of a final girl than some of Merlin’s other characters， but this only leads you to suspect that she’s going to hold her own in the face of the serial killer who’s appeared in town。 She’s also got a sassy attitude and snarky sense of humour that you can’t help but love。Bailey has one hell of a backstory; at the age of 13， she nearly died when she fell through the ice on the town pond。 Her best friend， Daisy， wasn’t so lucky。 In the years since Bailey has known that the accident was a setup and that five of their peers were responsible。 Now Daisy’s brother， Phoenix， is back in town for the Halloween Festival and people are turning up dead。 People who were involved in Bailey and Daisy’s accident all those years ago。I will admit that the story was a little predictable， but I was totally there for it。 There’s a comfort in knowing （or thinking you know） what’s going to happen in these kinds of stories and it didn’t impact upon my enjoyment of the book。 I could give you plenty of examples but I’m not the spoiler type。 Just know that Phoenix and Rory are everything you expect they will be， and that includes sinfully hot。There were all sorts of moments that I loved in this book， including the uncomfortable point when Bailey’s dad realises she’s dating two guys who are also dating each other and they have to explain it all。 There’s a healthy dose of realism to Bailey’s inner thoughts as well， as she navigates the emotional practicalities of her dating triangle and just how it works to fall for a serial killer and his serial killer friend。And the steam！ Because you know an AJ Merlin novel will have it。 It’s not the steamiest of her books and is less kinky than some of her recent offerings but Don’t Be Scared is still thigh-clenchingly hot。 This one is especially good for lovers of masked men who like to toy with their prey; you’ll be salivating reading the first steamy scene taking place at the Halloween party。In all honesty， compared to some of the blinders she’s released in the past year， Don’t Be Scared isn’t AJ Merlin’s most outstanding book， but if you want something stabby and steamy to read in the run-up to Halloween then you’re in for a thoroughly enjoyable read。 。。。more
